Related to goats, bighorn sheep are known to battle head to head, and horn to horn, for over a day in order to determine rank in the herd. Their white muzzles match the color of a patch on their rumps. The mountain variety lives in an area from southern Canada to Colorado while the desert variety prefers the warmer climate from Nevada south to Mexico. The poster was created in New York City to promote the attractions of the national park system.
