H.J. Res. 69Continuing Appropriations for Fiscal Year 2004
On September 30, 2003, the President signed into law H.J. Res. 69 as P.L. 108-84.
H.J. Res. 69, a joint resolution making continuing appropriations for Fiscal Year 2004, was introduced by Representative
Bill Young (R-FL), Chairman, House Committee on Appropriations, and passed by the House and Senate on September 25. H.J.
Res. 69 provides funding to keep the Federal Government running after September 30. The stopgap spending bill, known as
a continuing resolution (CR), would extend funding through midnight October 31 at a rate not exceeding the rate for
FY 2003.
