MEMORANDUM
TO: Designated Agency Ethics Officials and
2000 Annual Conference Attendees
FROM: Barbara A. Mullen-Roth
Associate Director for Education and Program Services
SUBJECT: Request for Comments on Plenary and Concurrent Sessions
for the 2001 Annual Government Ethics Conference
The 2001 Annual Government Ethics Conference in Norfolk,
Virginia is just around the corner and it is never too early to
start planning for it. The Office of Government Ethics (OGE) is
already beginning to formulate ideas for this year's conference
program using comments from the evaluation forms from last year as
well as comments provided directly to OGE staff. We plan to
continue offering concurrent sessions of interest to both novice
and veteran ethics officials.
Because your ideas generate a significant number of the
sessions held each year, we would like to solicit your input on the
topics you would like to discuss at this year's conference as well
as suggestions for plenary speakers or sessions. We would also
like to encourage you to take your ideas a step further and
participate personally in the conference. It is guaranteed to be
a rewarding experience and the OGE conference staff are available
to help you in your planning in anyway they can.
Let's make this second decade of conferences even better than
the first. Please send your ideas to us by January 31, 2001. You
can use the attached form and fax it to Sheila Powers at 202-208-
8039 or send an e-mail message to sapowers@oge.gov.
