The US-ASEAN Business Council, in which Vietnam has its section among the 10-country ASEAN, is the voice of American private sectors and their working relationships with ASEAN regional organizations as well as with government and private sector leaders in each country. The Council serves as a forum towards regional economic integration through ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA).

The World Bank is one of the United Nations’ specialized agencies, and is made up of 184 member countries. Vietnam is in the East Asia and the Pacific group of countries. The website of this development bank offers data on loans, policy advice, technical assistance and knowledge, sharing services to low and middle income countries to reduce poverty. The "World Bank" is used for the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and the International Development Association (IDA), specialized agencies which provide low-interest loans, interest-free credit, and grants to developing countries.
