RCI is the essential element in solving the Army's family housing problems, i.e., conditions and deficits, and we are committed and on track to making our Army installations safe, attractive, and modern places for our Soldiers and their families to live. Currently, the RCI program is comprised of 45 installations (combined into 35 projects); over 88,000 homes - 99% of Army's family housing inventory in the U.S. To date, 35 installations (77,000 homes) have been privatized, 10 more (11,000 homes) are in solicitation or under development. Our ongoing privatization program demonstrates that the RCI solicitation and execution processes are effective in attracting world-class development and management firms.

RCI Goals

  • Eliminate inadequate Army Family Housing in the U.S
  • Eliminate the deficit

RCI Objectives

  • Create world-class, residential communities.
  • Leverage assets/scarce funds
  • Obtain private sector expertise, creativity, innovation and capital.

RCI is dedicated to building quality residential communities for Soldiers and their families. To accomplish this requires dedicated support from Government, Industry, and the Congress.

RCI is truly about partnering with the private sector. Our industry partners' expertise, innovation, and willingness to work collaboratively with us have been keys to RCI's successes to date.
