VANESSA WEAVER TO DISCUSS FINANCING OPPORTUNITIES FOR WOMEN- AND MINORITY-OWNED COMPANIES SELLING TO EMERGING MARKETS Weaver To Participate in U.S. Chamber of Commerce "Access America" Event Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank) Board Member D. Vanessa Weaver will urge both large and small women- and minority-owned companies to use Ex-Im Bank financing services to sell their products and services abroad at a conference on new international programs for women- and minority-owned companies. Women in Business: Accessing International Markets, sponsored by the United States Chamber of Commerces Access America program will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2002 at 9 a.m. at the Jonathan Club, 545 Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, Calif. Weaver will participate in a roundtable discussion beginning at 10:25 a.m. on "Opportunities in the Global Marketplace; Successes and Overcoming Barriers; and Tapping Resources." The event is opened to the press. "Women- and minority-owned businesses are a top Ex-Im Bank priority," said Ex-Im Bank Director D. Vanessa Weaver. "We plan to help finance the enormous potential of women- and minority-owned businesses as they export. Ex-Im Bank is here to help them boost sales," Weaver added. |
