Summary

The Senior Sub-Contract Specialist will report to a Team Leader within a group in ASM-Division. Responsible for placement, administration and closeout of subcontracts. Will also provide purchasing/subcontracting support for assigned area(s) including planning, requests for proposal, negotiations, award, contract administration, negotiation of changes/claims, and close-out. Successful performance in this position includes: development of acquisition plans, development of solicitation documents for fixed price and/or cost reimbursement. Responsibilities include drafting, soliciting, evaluating and negotiating subcontract terms and conditions for moderate to large dollar fixed-price commodities and moderate to large dollar services under various subcontract methods.

Desired Skills

Extensive experience in award and administration of DOE, commercial or government contracts. Proven professional-level expertise in independently negotiating and conducting complex procurement activities, such as subcontract formation, evaluation & award, administration, negotiation, and closeout of contracts. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing acquisition policies and procedures, and successfully leading acquisition processes and projects. C.P.M. and/or C.P.C.M certification highly desirable. Experience in acquisition services management highly desirable.
