EX-IM BANK SUPPORTS U.S. CONSTRUCTION AND TRANSPORTATION EXPORTS TO JAMAICA, MEXICO AND RUSSIA

JAMAICA: Ex-Im Bank has approved the request of Allfirst Bank of Baltimore, Md., for a $2.2 million comprehensive medium-term insurance policy to support the $2.5 million sale of U.S. construction materials and equipment to be used in the construction of a new home hardware store in Jamaica. The U.S. small business exporter is Impex Associates Inc. of Miami, Fla. The buyer is Phil's Incorporated Ltd. of Kingston, Jamaica, which is expanding its operations of home hardware stores to meet the demand of the growing housing market in Kingston. The broker is Export Insurance Services of Atlanta, Ga.

MEXICO: Ex-Im Bank has approved the request of PNC Bank of Pittsburgh, Pa., for a $4 million comprehensive medium-term insurance policy to support the $4.65 million sale of truck trailer equipment by Wabash National Corporation of Lafayette, Ind., and Eagle Eye Technologies Inc. of Dulles, Va., to TUM Transportistas Unidos Division Norte S.A. de C.V. of Mexico. The broker is Export Insurance Agency of Walpole, Mass.

RUSSIA: Ex-Im Bank has approved the request of Compass Bank N.A. of Phoenix, Ariz., for an $837,828 comprehensive medium-term insurance policy to support the $925,000 sale of a used air vessel for shallow water seismic operations to Petro Alliance Services Ltd. of Cyprus for use in the buyer's oil field operations in Russia. The U.S. small business exporter is Reservoir Geophysical Corp. of Sugar Land, Texas. The broker is Penn International Insurance of San Antonio, Texas.
