Katrina Medical Relief Efforts The
American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM) and the HIV Medicine
Associations (HIVMA) have put together Recommendations for the Triage
of HIV+ Patients. Visit

to read these recommendations for clinicians who are not HIV specialists,
but may be treating HIV+ patients in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Consumer Fact Sheets The AIDSinfo staff have revised the popular HIV and Its Treatment: What You Should Know fact sheet series to include information on the drug tipranavir, which was recently approved by the FDA. The What Is an HIV/AIDS Clinical Trial? fact sheet was also updated. These fact sheets take information from the Federal treatment guidelines and put them in an easy-to-read format for consumers.
