Abstract:

The mission of the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) is to protect, maintain and improve the health of all Minnesotans. The MDH priorities include: preparing for public health emergencies; ensuring quality care in nursing homes and other health care facilities; improving the quality of health care and controlling rising costs; eliminating health disparities; and maintaining basic responsibilities of public health (eg. safe food and water, immunizations, newborn screening, disease prevention and control).
