Mullen-Roth Associate Director for Education and Program Services SUBJECT: Introductory Ethics Course offered in Washington, DC on January 26, 2000 The U.S. Office of Government Ethics (OGE) is offering an introductory ethics course on "How to Identify a Disqualifying Financial Interest." The course provides students with seven steps to identify disqualifying financial interests. It is ideal for new ethics officials or those who want a "nuts and bolts" refresher on 18 U.S.C. § 208. The course will be conducted on January 26, 2000, 9:00 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. at the Department of Labor, Room C-5320, Seminar Rm. 6, 200 Constitution Avenue, NW., Washington, DC. The course will be offered free of charge. However, advance registration is required. Each person planning to attend MUST register by faxing a completed registration form to OGE not later than one week before course date.
