SUBJECT: Intermediate Ethics Courses offered in May in Washington, DC; Seattle, WA; and San Diego, CA


The U.S. Office of Government Ethics (OGE) will offer three intermediate ethics training courses in the month of May for experienced ethics practitioners in Washington, DC, Seattle, WA, and San Diego, CA. Ethics officials are invited to attend any or all of the scheduled courses. The intermediate course schedule follows:

Washington, DC, May 5-6, 1999:

Intermediate Post-Employment 5/05/99 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon Intermediate 18 U.S.C. § 208 5/06/99 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon Exemptions and Waivers Pursuant to § 208 5/06/99 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.


Seattle, WA, May 12-13, 1999:

Intermediate 18 U.S.C. § 208 5/12/99 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Exemptions and Waivers Pursuant to § 208 5/13/99 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Intermediate Post-Employment 5/13/99 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.


San Diego, CA, May 19-20, 1999:

Intermediate 18 U.S.C. § 208 5/19/99 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Exemptions and Waivers Pursuant to § 208 5/20/99 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Intermediate Post-Employment 5/20/99 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.


A brief description of each course is attached. All of the above courses will be offered free of charge.

Advance registration is required. Each person planning to attend MUST register by faxing a completed registration form to OGE one week before scheduled course date. Registrations will be handled on a first-come basis and each course is limited to 40 participants. NO TELEPHONE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Registration forms are attached. OGE will confirm each student's registration by return fax several days prior to the course date.
