Abstract:

The American Kidney Fund (AKF), is a nonprofit health organization providing limited grants to needy dialysis patients, transplant recipients, and kidney donors to help cover treatment-specific expenses such as medications, transportation, etc. AKF also educates the public about the prevention, causes, and treatment of kidney disease. In addition, AKF offers accredited professional and patient education conferences and provides grants for clinical research.
