The Critical Care Therapy and Respiratory Care Section is searching for energetic respiratory therapists to work in this unique and challenging environment as critical care therapists.

We offer these opportunities:

• You will receive a structured individualized orientation.

• You will be able to participate in a number of educational opportunities each week; some of which are approved for continuing education credits through the American Association for Respiratory Care.

• In the medical/surgical intensive care unit, you will work side by side with internationally recognized experts in critical care medicine, learn, and have input into the multidisciplinary care of the patient.

• You will be recognized for the many outstanding contributions you make while performing your job responsibilities. We will support you in your efforts to foster your professional growth and development.

• Your responsibilities include: ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, bronchoscopy assistance, arterial and pulmonary catheter placement assistance, fluoroscopy, indirect calorimetry, research protocol support, bedside electrocardiograms (EKGs), Holter and event monitoring, and nitric oxide and other inhalational therapies.

• 12-hour and 8-hour shifts are available.

This position is an Indefinite Appointment in the Excepted Service under Title 42. Salary is commensurate with experience and accomplishments. A valid respiratory practitioner license is required.
