Summary
Postdoctoral position for a physical chemist, surface or device scientist is available the Physical Chemistry and Spectroscopy (PCS) group. We are seeking a postdoctoral candidate to support our effort in development of new type of photovoltaic (PV) devices utilizing nanocrystaline materials. The postdoctoral researcher will work within a multidisciplinary team at Los Alamos and collaborate with a major industrial partner.
Desired Skills
The candidate should have background in one or more of the following areas: Fabrication and characterization of dye sensitized solar cells or general experience with fabrication of PV or LED devices, synthesis of transition metal polypyridine complexes functionalized for coupling to semiconductor surfaces, chemical modification and characterization of semiconductor surfaces. Familiarity with PV device characterization methods (e.g., IPCE and IV measurements). Familiarity with characterization methods, such as FTIR (including ATR), UVVIS, PL, TEM, XRD, XPS, NMR. US citizenship preferred, but not required.
Education
PhD in Physical chemistry or related field completed within last five years or soon to be completed is required.
