Elizabeth Edge serves as FEMA's Executive Secretary and directs the Office of Executive Secretariat, which serves as the primary point of contact for FEMA and the Office of the Administrator for coordinating and providing information on departmental taskings, briefing materials and official correspondence to and from FEMA.

Previously, Ms. Edge served as an advisor and assistant to the FEMA Administrator.

During 2002-2005, Ms. Edge served as Special Assistant to the Administrator of the U.S. Fire Administration (USFA).  She coordinated the many activities of the USFA with other directorates and offices within FEMA.  She advised the Fire Administrator and other key USFA senior officials on all aspects of USFA programs and policies. In addition, she served as the USFA representative with the Office of Plans and Programs to oversee strategic planning for the future and quarterly agency reviews.

Ms. Edge began her career in the federal government with FEMA in October 1990.  She has worked as a program analyst for the Office of Inspector General and the Office of Regional Operations, including two detail assignments in FEMA's regional offices in Denver and San Francisco.  She also served as the Special Assistant to the Executive Associate Director for Response and Recovery and as an advisor and assistant to the FEMA Chief of Staff.

She received a Bachelor's degree in Government from Connecticut College.
