Job Description
Psychologists at the NIH perform all assigned tasks and protocols in a specialized area of psychology and develop new methods/procedures in support of the activities of the program. Psychologists may make decisions as to the time and resources required to perform the tasks and establish and evaluate plans and schedules while collaborating with staff and with others in the field outside of the organization. Major duties may include independently performing tasks in specialized areas of, keeping abreast of pertinent literature, attending conferences, meetings, and lectures on subjects relevant to the specialized area and developing new methods for and collecting, analyzing, organizing and recording data appropriate for publication and future reference by others.
