Program Description
The Federal Work-Study Program funds jobs for undergraduate and graduate students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay postsecondary education expenses.  The program encourages community service work and work related to the student's course of study.  The total award depends on when the student applies, level of need, and funding level of the school.

General Program Requirements
In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a student pursuing a postsecondary educational degree or certificate.

To determine whether you are eligible to receive assistance through this program, you must first complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Schools use this information from the FAFSA to determine your actual financial aid package.
