Pandemic Influenza Plan Developed in March 2006, the plan is being added to existing
emergency plans of the Department of Veterans Affairs to
provide a foundation for preparation, response, and recovery
stages of an influenza pandemic by VA Central Office, the
Veterans Health Administration, the Veterans Benefits
Administration, and the National Cemetery Administration at
the national, regional, and local levels.

health campaign designed to enlist patients, families,
visitors, and staff in preventing infection in our facilities
and our communities. It promotes awareness
through education on basic, daily public health measures that
