Abstinence Education

Community-Based Abstinence Education and State Section 510 Abstinence Education programs are now administered by the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) Family and Youth Services Bureau.

Funding for the Community-Based Abstinence Education Program was appropriated to ACF in the FY 2005 appropriations bill. The Delegation of Authority to reassign the State Section 510 Abstinence Education was signed by the HHS Secretary in June 2004.
