HRSA Awards Grants Worth $23 Million to Renovate Health Care Facilities

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) today announced grant awards totaling $23 million to support renovations and equipment upgrades for health care facilities in 18 states.

The grants, part of the “Health Care and Other Facilities” program administered by HRSA, an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will help facilities around the country improve health care delivery through state-of-the-art renovations and equipment.  Funded projects include a mobile hazardous materials decontamination unit in Yuma, Ariz.; renovation of a cancer research building in Mobile, Ala.; purchase of medical imaging and laboratory equipment for a walk-in care center in Malden, Mass.; construction of a new community alcohol treatment facility in Winnebago, Neb.; and renovation of pediatric and adult day rooms for families visiting loved ones in hospice care.
