HHS Secretary Tommy G. Thompson recently
announced the award of 19 grants totaling more than $39 million
for construction and operational improvements in 14 health care
facilities across the country.
Funded under the “Health Care and Other Facilities”
program administered by HHS’s Health Resources and Services Administration,
the grants will support a variety of construction projects. The
projects include a five-story biotechnology/science center, a developmental
training and administrative building for individuals with severe developmental
disabilities, a dental clinic, and a center for human brain imaging.
A list of the new grantees is attached.
