HHS’s
Health Resources and Services Administration today announced
a second free workshop to help health care providers learn how
to screen patients for alcohol problems.
The
workshop will be held Feb. 6 from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Gallaudet
University’s Kellogg Conference Center, 800 Florida Avenue,
N.E., Washington, D.C.
The training is being offered to help providers prepare
for National Alcohol Screening Day, scheduled for April 11.
Clinicians, administrators and other staff of public
health departments, hospitals, mental health and health clinics,
and advocacy and prevention groups are encouraged to attend.
Attendance at a workshop is not required to participate
in National Alcohol Screening Day.
