HHS Names New Members to Primary Care Advisory CommitteeHHS Secretary Tommy G. Thompson has announced the appointment of eight health care professionals to serve on the Advisory Committee on Training in Primary Care Medicine and Dentistry. The new members, who will serve until September 2004, are:
The 23-member committee advises the HHS Secretary and Congress on a wide range of policy and program issues in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, dentistry and physician assistant programs. Denise V. Rodgers, M.D., associate dean of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, is committee chair. HHS’ Health Resources and Services Administration provides executive and staffing support to the committee.
