For Job-Seekers:
A Special Welcome from the Archivist of the United States
Leading the National Archives is the most rewarding experience of my career. As an American and an historian, I feel privileged to serve as Archivist of the United States. It is a special privilege to work alongside so many talented and dedicated colleagues. The staff of the National Archives gives new meaning to the term "public service."
Each day, in 33 facilities across the country, National Archives staff members help thousands of visitors and researchers discover the records of the American government. They connect individuals and families to essential records needed to document rights and entitlements. They campaign for civic literacy, working with educators to help make history come alive for students of all ages. And they research and develop new applications for technology to ensure that the records created today can be preserved for future generations.
You can learn more about the staff of the National Archives by visiting the Employee Gallery. Their stories are inspirational.
We are always in search of other talented people to join the National Archives team. I invite you to visit this site often for the latest information on job openings and other opportunities to "make history" at the National Archives.
