NASA RECYCLING AND AFFIRMATIVE PROCUREMENT
OUR MISSION

NASA will excel within the Federal Government in waste prevention, recycling, and affirmative procurement by achieving a waste diversion goal of 35% by the year 2010 and maintaining 100% compliance in affirmative procurement.

Affirmative Procurement is the program that requires Federal agencies to buy recycled-content and other environmentally preferable products. Environmentally preferable purchasing benefits the environment and demonstrates our commitment to environmental stewardship.   KSC Principal Center in Recycling and Affirmative Procurement provides resources and support to help NASA execute this program.
