These
in-depth studies focus on works by a variety of artists represented
in the National Gallery of Arts exhibition Art for the Nation:
Collecting for a New Century, on view at the Gallery from 8
October 2000 to 4 February 2001. During the first three months of
the exhibition, in-depth studies will be added in small groups,
bringing the total to fourteen.
