The United States International Trade Commission (ITC) today determined that an industry in the United States is materially injured by reason of imports of certain welded large diameter line pipe from Mexico that the Department of Commerce has determined are sold in the United States at less than fair value.

All five Commissioners voted in the affirmative.

As a result of the Commission's affirmative determination, the U.S. Department of Commerce will issue an antidumping duty order on imports of this product from Mexico.

The Commission's public report Certain Welded Large Diameter Line Pipe from Mexico (Inv. No. 731-TA-920 (Final), USITC Publication 3487, February 2002) will contain the views of the Commission and information developed during the investigation.

Product Description: The imported product subject to this investigation is certain welded carbon and alloy line pipe, of circular cross section and with an outside diameter greater than 16 inches, but less than 64 inches, whether or not stenciled. This product is normally produced according to American Petroleum Institute (API) specifications, including grade A25, A, B, and X grades ranging from X42 to X80, but can also be produced to other specifications.(1)
