Standard Business Processes Document
(Payments, Funds, and Receivables Management)

The Federal Financial Management Standard Business Processes establish the framework for consolidating and optimizing, financial accounting practices in the Federal Government to improve cost, quality, and performance government-wide. Version 1.1 of the Standard Business Process document was released in November of 2008. This version adds receivables management processes. Included in the receivables management processes are steps from establishing the accounts receivable due from the public, billing, collection and application of receipts, dunning, allowance for loss and write-off, credit memo and returns, waiver of interest, administrative costs, and penalties, and installment plans.
