The exhibition was organized by the Art Institute of Chicago in collaboration with the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the National Gallery of Art, Washington. Nicolai Cikovsky Jr., senior curator of American and British paintings at the National Gallery of Art, coordinated the exhibition. The exhibition was made possible by the support of Aetna.
