CERT Spotlight: 20th Anniversary

Can you believe it has been 20 years?

20th anniversary

In 1988, the Morris worm crippled the internet, inspiring the formation of a center to coordinate communication among experts during security emergencies and to help prevent future incidents. CERT has grown over the last two decades, adapting to the changes in technology and adding more areas of work to address new needs and threats.

We are proud of this milestone and of the successes that we have achieved. Even after all this time, our commitment to helping to secure networked systems has not wavered, and we will continue our mission as we enter the next phase of our journey.
