This study examines the integration of Native and Non-Native health systems and the collaboration between Federally Qualified Health Centers and Indian Health Service-funded health facilities. It focuses on instances where integration occurred, success stories, and instances where it was unsuccessful. The study gives a summary of major points on the initial barriers to integration; the advantages, disadvantages, improvements, and changes to access to care; and key factors that should be considered when contemplating integration. It includes figures, site case study interviews, and appendices.
