Notes:
The Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe, located in Kingston, Washington, operates a primary care clinic, serving patients Monday through Friday. The S’Klallam Health Department is seeking to hire a full-time Family Practice physician to deliver care to patients of all ages. This is a unique opportunity for a physician to care for individuals and families, including newborns, their parents, grandparents and extended family. Applicants must be culturally competent and work well within a team environment. The new 4,700 sf clinic was completed in 2001. The Reservation is in a beautiful wooded area on the shores of Port Gamble Bay. The S’Klallam Health Department has earned a national reputation for excellence, and in 2002 received an Indian Health Service National Directors Award in 2002 for “Exemplary Performance, Competence and Superior Ability to Sustain the Highest Level of Commitment and Leadership to Elevate the Health Status of the Indian Community.” Please respond to: lrschmitz@pgst.nsn.us.
