Funeral
services
for
President
Ford
were
held
at St.
Margaret's
Parish
in Palm
Desert,
California;
at the
U.S.
Capitol
Rotunda
and
the
National
Cathedral
in Washington,
D.C.;
and
at Grace
Episcopal
Church
in Grand
Rapids,
Michigan.
Following
the
services
in Grand
Rapids
on January
3, 2007,
President
Ford
was
interred
on the
grounds
of his
Presidential
Museum
in Grand
Rapids,
Michigan. Upon
his
passing,
President
George
W. Bush
declared
a thirty
day
National
Period
of Mourning
that
concluded
on January
25,
2007.
Since
the
passing
of President
Ford,
citizens,
organizations,
and
institutions
have
bestowed
honors
and
tributes
upon
the
former
President,
reflecting
their
gratitude
and
appreciation
for
his
service
to the
country
as a
sailor,
congressman,
Vice
President,
and
Thirty-Eighth
President
of the
United
States.
