Biennial Report of the National Bone Marrow Donor Registry

The biennial report of the National Bone Marrow Donor Registry (Registry) is a comprehensive overview of the federally authorized Registry of marrow donors and cord blood units. The Registry is operated under Federal contract by the National Marrow Donor Program® (NMDP).

The 2004 Biennial Report of the National Bone Marrow Donor Registry includes:

  • Statistics about the Registry and the volunteers who have donated
  • A description about the process of searching for a matching marrow donor or cord blood unit
  • Outcomes data on patients who have received a transplant from an unrelated marrow donor or cord blood unit through the NMDP
To read the most current report, see 2004 Biennial Report of the National Bone Marrow Donor Registry (not a U.S. Government Web site).

The next report will include data from 2005, 2006 and 2007 and will be posted on this Web site. That report will be provided by the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research® through the Stem Cell Therapeutic Outcomes Database component of the C.W. Bill Young Cell Transplantation Program.
