Programs
ICE OFFICE OF INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS
FOREIGN PROGRAMS DIVISION
The Foreign Programs Division has six components: International Training, International Visitors Program, International Organizations, Policy, Liaison Unit, and Investigative Program Coordinators.
International Training Unit: Responsible for all internal and external training initiatives and requirements. This includes coordination of ICE participation in international training venues for foreign counterparts, training through the ICE attaché offices and training for ICE OIA personnel.
International Visitors Program: Responsible for coordination of departmental (DHS) and agency (ICE) international visitors' requests.
International Organization Unit: Responsible for coordination of ICE representation in all International Organization.
Liaison Unit: Consists of ICE representatives to external organizations, such as Interpol and Department of State, Department of Commerce, other DHS components and our foreign counterparts in the United States.
Policy Unit: Responsible for identifying the best practices from the two legacy agencies and Department of State to develop ICE policy related to international operations and administration.
Investigative Programs Unit: The ICE International Affairs conduit to ICE domestic investigative program offices.
Visa Security Program: Enhances our ability to secure America’s borders from external threats, and satisfies the statutory requirements of Section 428 of the Homeland Security Act of 2002. This newly created unit will focus on providing follow-up investigations on Visa applications of aliens wishing to enter the United States.
Mission Support Unit: Responsible for all issues relating to budget, human resources, property, logistics and information technology for the attaché offices and OIA headquarters.
