Abstract:

This newsletter addresses the needs for and access to oral health care and treatment in HIV-infected individuals. It describes a variety of oral disease symptoms and the effect of highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) on oral manifestations of HIV/AIDS. The newsletter discusses the importance of and factors contributing to successful adherence to HAART in managing HIV disease.
