Cost Sharing Partnership Opportunities

Were authorized by Congress to partner with airports and other major users of the National Airspace System for air traffic modernization projects including:

  • New control towers
  • Navigation and landing systems
  • Automation tools

This partnership allows eligible project sponsors to set up certain facilities and equipment more quickly. The cost share with Federal funding does not exceed 33 percent.

You can apply for a partnership by sending your proposal as soon as possible (no deadline has been set).

Program to Permit Cost-Sharing of Air Traffic Modernization Projects Guidance (PDF) contains detailed information.
