The Office of Administration is organized into six major components:
Bureau of Human Resources
This bureau, directed by Keith Earley,
serves as the agency's human resources office, including recruiting staff,
administering employee benefits, labor relations, career management, and
employee development programs.
Office of Equal Opportunity
This office, directed by Lynn E. Cousins
handles a variety of programs and responsibilities designed to protect the
rights of agency employees, including resolution of discrimination or similar
types of complaints, and to increase the diversity of the agency workforce. In
addition to addressing employee concerns, the office handles questions and
complaints regarding nondiscrimination on the basis of disability in agency
programs.
Public Affairs
Under the supervision of Anita J. Rogers,
Public Affairs functions as the agency's primary contact with the news
media, and is responsible for preparing and distributing press releases and a
variety of publications that provide information on the agency's benefit
programs.
Congressional Inquiry
The
Congressional Inquiry section, supervised by Richard M. Konopka, is
responsible for responding to all inquiries from congressional offices
concerning constituents, benefit claims or applications filed with the agency.
Acquisition Management
The Division of Acquisition Management is supervised by
Paul Ahern. This division has
primary responsibility for managing the agency's procurement and contracting
activities (including selection, award, administration, and close-out),
telecommunications, and accountable property management.
Real Property Management
The Division of Real Property Management is supervised by
Scott L. Rush. This division has primary
responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the headquarters facility.
The division is also responsible for managing the agency's mail, files and
records storage, supply, and printing activities. |
