Who do I contact about my life insurance?

You can contact the Insurance Service either by telephone at: 1-800-669-8477 or by accessing their web site at: www.insurance.va.gov.

What programs are available for service members returning from combat in Afghanistan and Iraq that were stationed there in support of the Global War on Terror?

VA has established a "seamless transition" program to ensure these service members receive the information they need about VA benefits and services before they leave the military and begin the transition to civilian life. That web site is: www.seamlesstransition.va.gov.

If you cannot find the information you are seeking on our website, you should submit a FOIA request to the VBA Regional Office where you believe the records are maintained.   Requests must be in writing and signed by the person submitting the request.  Requests can be faxed or mailed, but they cannot be e-mailed.  A list of VBA FOIA Officers is located at http://www.foia.va.gov/Contacts_VBA.asp.
