Abstract:

The purpose of DefenseLINK is to provide the public with a single, unified starting point for information about the Department of Defense, its organization and its functions. The DefenseLINK home page provides direct access to the Information Services established by each military department and organization. It also contains many Defense publications, answers to frequently asked questions about the department, and an easy-to-use search interface. This interface accesses for Government Information Locator Service (GILS)-compliant records which are browseable and searchable by users.
