Over $3.6 Million Approved for Tornado Survivors in Five Counties

THOMASVILLE, Ga. -- State and federal disaster recovery officials said today that more than $3.6 million in disaster assistance funding has been approved for eligible residents in five tornado-raked southwest Georgia counties.

To date, 590 residents have called the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) toll-free teleregistration number (1-800-462-9029) to enroll for a wide range of recovery programs including: financial aid for various types of disaster housing needs, individual and family grants (IFG) and disaster-related, low-interest, loans from the Small Business Administration (SBA).
