Oklahoma City, OK -- To further help individuals and businesses affected by the severe storms and tornadoes that began on May 8, the Oklahoma Dept. of Civil Emergency Management (ODCEM) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) are opening a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Okmulgee County. It will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 10 through Thursday, June 12.

115 S. 4th Street, Henryetta, Oklahoma 74437
The center will provide detailed program information for those who have already applied for, or need, assistance under President Bush's disaster declaration for the Oklahoma counties of Canadian, Carter, Cherokee, Cleveland, Creek, Delaware, Garvin, Grady, Kay, Kingfisher, Lincoln, Logan, McClain, Muskogee, Nowata, Okfuskee, Oklahoma, Okmulgee, Osage, Pontotoc, Pottawatomie, Roger Mills, Seminole, Texas and Washington.
Representatives from FEMA, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and other agencies will be on hand to answer disaster assistance questions.
In addition to the new center coming to Henryetta, DRCs are open until Saturday night (June 7, 2003) in Bartlesville and Cheyenne. The DRC in Moore will remain open until further notice.
Applicants are encouraged to apply before visiting the centers by calling the FEMA toll-free registration number: 1 800 621-FEMA (3362) or 1 800 462 7585 (TTY) for the speech- or hearing- impaired. The registration line is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday until further notice.
