Volunteer Opportunties

A volunteer working in the archival collectionAre you looking for a FUN place to volunteer?
Are you looking for a WORTHWHILE place to volunteer?
Are you looking for an EDUCATIONAL place to volunteer?
Are you looking for a UNIQUE place to volunteer?

THEN THE HERBERT HOOVER LIBRARY-MUSEUM IS FOR YOU!

A volunteer giving a tour to schoolchildren

As one of only twelve Presidential Libraries in the country, we offer some unique and interesting opportunities. We have several programs for you to become involved in that are worthwhile, rewarding, educational, and FUN. You could lead a group of students on a tour, greet visitors for special events, go on stage for one of our productions or visit local schools as a historic character. If you prefer behind the scenes involvement, ask about our archives department or curatorial workshop.

As a Volunteer for the Hoover Library and Museum, training for each of the areas is provided. You will have an opportunity to work with an enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff. You will meet other volunteers at meetings, Road Trips, and parties that are held on a regular basis.

To learn more about our volunteer program please call the volunteer coordinator at 319-643-5301 or send an email message to the volunteer coordinator or complete the Volunteer Application (pdf) and send to:
