Group Tours

School Groups:

What is considered a school group?

School groups eligible for free admission consist of students in grades 1 through 12 whose attendance on this field trip is associated directly with a recognized bona fide school (public, private or home). If this isn't a regular class-organized trip the rule of thumb for the free tour is the group wanting to visit must not be able to exist without a school. Examples of non-class trips which are considered school groups include but are not limited to the Honor Society, the Library Club, the Journalism Club, the Student Council.

If your tour request isn't for a bona fide school group you should call our Visitor Center Office at 785-263-6700. Examples of non-school groups include but are not limited to Boys' and Girls' Clubs, 4H, church youth groups, Girl and Boy Scouts, day care centers and summer camps.

The Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum complex consists of the Library, Museum, Family Home, Place of Meditation, and Visitors Center. All the buildings are open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. seven days a week, with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. If you have a group which would like to visit us, please let us know, giving the date, approximate time of arrival, and the number in the group.

The Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum does not conduct guided tours; this should pose no problem, however, as the exhibits are labeled and self-explanatory. We suggest you allow a minimum of one to two hours to visit the complex. Ample parking is available near the Visitors Center and the Place of Meditation.

Upon your arrival, we suggest you stop at the Visitors Center to view the 25 minute orientation film. The Gift Shop is also located in the Visitors Center.

How many people can we bring? What is the cost?

Students will be admitted free of charge at the Museum. We also admit one adult free for each five students in your group. Additional adults will be charged the adult rate.

Other Groups
:

Groups of 20 persons or more with reservations are eligible for a reduced adult-rate admission. Walk-in groups are always welcome.
