Abstract:

This toolkit contains material on the Open Wide Oral Health Program, a program with the Connecticut Department of Public Health that promotes oral hygiene and dental care. It provides a CD-ROM on the prevention of dental decay and oral diseases, disorders, and videotapes in English and Spanish on maintaining healthy baby teeth. The kit includes charts that discuss healthy eating for healthy teeth, the importance of oral care treatment, photographs on primary to permanent teeth development, labels to record dental findings during check-ups, and information on oral health training.
