Prepare Reference Letter

One or more applicants to NSF's Graduate Research Fellowship program have requested that you provide a reference letter in support of his or her application. Instructions for writing this letter and online submission steps are provided within the FastLane system. On behalf of the applicant and NSF, thank you for your participation and assistance.

You must log in with a self-created password through this screen for this fellowship year. You cannot log in using a password created through other FastLane applications. If you have not created a password this fellowship year, click the "New User" link to continue. You will be prompted to create a password for the current application year. If you have already created a password, please enter your e-mail address as entered by the applicant(s) and your password below. You can obtain the e-mail address listed in our system from the email you received from NSF requesting a letter of reference.

NOTE: You will need to create a special account to submit GRFP reference letters each year. Any existing FastLane account you might have will not work for the reference letter module.
