Position Classification

ARC HR experts are experienced in a range of duties related to position classification. You can rely on ARC to implement and administer your classification process from start to finish.

  • Assisting managers in describing duties and responsibilities in comprehensive position descriptions (PDs), providing sample PDs when available, and assisting with identifying criteria to support certain grade levels
  • Maintaining all PDs and cover sheets in an electronic format
  • Classifying a full range of PDs at all levels
  • Preparing written evaluations on classifications
  • Preparing cover sheets with proper designations
  • Applying new classification standards to existing positions
  • Providing advice and guidance in position management and reorganizations upon request
  • Conducting desk audits at management's request
