September Issue of Inside HRSA

The September issue of Inside HRSA focuses on the agency's Ryan White HIV/AIDS program. A story from the recent Ryan White all-grantee meeting in Washington reports remarkable improvements in life-expectancy for young people with HIV/AIDS, assuming they enter treatment early after infection. Other Ryan White stories examine HRSA's role in PEPFAR – the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief – and the adoption by AIDS providers around the world of CAREWare, an electronic health information system HRSA developed to track the treatment of HIV/AIDS patients.

The September issue also covers advances in HRSA's latest collaborative, which seeks to reduce patient errors and improve health outcomes by integrating pharmacy services into primary care. More than 300 safety-net providers, pharmacists and representatives of national organizations have signed on to support the effort.

As with every issue, Inside HRSA lets you know who's new where in our "On the Move" section and gives you a snapshot of current news and events. Inside HRSA is posted on the HRSA News Room.
