OFPP and FAI, in conjunction with the Office of Personnel Management, are holding a Federal Acquisition Intern Coalition (FAIC) workshop series to help inform Acquisition Career Managers, human resource professionals, and others concerned with maintaining a highly effective and well-staffed acquisition workforce.

Hiring Authorities Available to the Acquisition Workforce: Workshop Video

This interactive workshop included Jason Parman, Western Group Manager, Human Resources Consulting Program, OPM, who addressed the hiring flexibilities available to the acquisition community, and Stephen Shih, Chief, Center for Equal Employment Opportunity, OPM, who addressed EEO issues surrounding these hiring flexibilities. Additionally, a panel of acquisition and human resources professionals discussed their experiences using these flexibilities and provided you with a hands-on approach for using them. Candidate Sourcing: Where to Find the Talent You Need: Workshop Video

This interactive workshop included experts from organizations, such as Herb Thomas from Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Programs, Department of Veterans' Affairs, representing diverse, potential job candidates at all experience levels. The goal of this workshop is to aid agencies with more effective recruiting by sharing proven sourcing strategies for finding the acquisition talent needed to accomplish agency missions.
